Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 August 2026
jumar does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. Kaishi, LLC operates no servers that jumar talks to.
Machines and credentials
The machines you save, including hostnames, ports, usernames, and any on-connect command, are stored only on your device. Passwords and private keys are stored in the iOS Keychain, protected by the device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
None of it is sent to Kaishi or to any third party. Credentials leave your device only when jumar uses them to authenticate to the server you asked it to connect to, over the encrypted SSH connection to that server.
Terminal sessions
A session runs directly between your device and the machine you connect to. Kaishi has no visibility into it. Nothing you type or read in a terminal is recorded, uploaded, or retained by jumar after the session ends.
Dictation
Dictation is processed entirely on your device by Apple's on-device speech models. Audio is used to produce text on the device and is not stored. Neither the audio nor the transcript is transmitted to Kaishi or to anyone else. The custom word list you configure stays on the device as well.
The microphone is used only while you are actively dictating, and iOS shows its recording indicator whenever it is in use.
Network connections
jumar connects only to the machines you configure. It contacts no other network service. Any speech model files that iOS needs for on-device dictation are downloaded by the operating system from Apple, under Apple's privacy terms.
Deleting your data
Deleting a machine in jumar removes its details and its stored credentials. Deleting the app removes everything jumar has stored, including its Keychain entries.
Children
jumar is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
