The Apple Watch app does not open when I start a round

Starting a round on your iPhone opens the watch app automatically. Check that the watch app is installed (open the Watch app on your iPhone, then My Watch, and look under Installed on Apple Watch), that your watch is unlocked and on your wrist, and that you allowed the Health permission the watch app asked for. That permission is what lets it stay on screen during a round.

Distances to the basket are missing

Distances need location access for Hyzer (Settings, then Apps, then Hyzer, then Location) and a course whose tees and baskets have been mapped. Peccole Ranch is fully mapped. Sunset Park is being mapped now, so its holes show scores without distances for the moment.

I do not get a notification when I arrive at a course

The arrival alert needs location access set to Always and notifications turned on for the app. iOS decides exactly when to deliver it, so it can take a minute after you arrive.

Friends and shared rounds do not work

Playing with friends uses iCloud, so every player needs to be signed in to iCloud on their iPhone. Round invites expire after six hours; if one has expired, start the round again and send a new invite.

Privacy

Hyzer has no accounts, analytics, tracking, or ads. The privacy policy explains what stays on your device, what syncs through your iCloud account, and what a round invite shares.
